It is the owner and administrator of the Victor Espaillat Mera Free Economic Zone (PIVEM), it is one of the country’s oldest and most consolidated business zones.

Founded on April 21, 1974, with the objective of being a source for the creation of formal employment and it is a strategic center for the promotion of investments.
